Sama Chakewa Festival Celebrated in Mithilanchal Region

The Sama Chakewa festival, symbolizing the deep love and bond between brothers and sisters, is being celebrated in the Mithilanchal region of Nepal. The festival began with the Kharna day of the Chhath festival and concludes on the full moon night with the ritual immersion of Sama and Chakewa figures. The celebration is marked by traditional songs, clay idols, and community gatherings that highlight Mithila’s rich cultural heritage.
