Nepal Pharmaceutical Traders Stage Peaceful Sit-in Demanding Repeal of Controversial Drug Act Sub-Section

The Nepal Pharmaceutical Traders Association held a peaceful sit-in at the Department of Drug Administration in New Baneshwor, demanding the repeal of the controversial sub-section 5 of Section 11 under the Drug Act, 2035. Protesters carried placards and raised slogans such as, “Fulfill our legitimate demand. Repeal Section 11, Sub-section 5 of the Drug Act, 2035.” (Kathmandu, November 14, 2025)

नेपाल औषधी व्यवसायी संघले औषधि ऐन, २०३५ अन्तर्गत रहेको विवादास्पद उपदफाको खारेजीको मागसहित औषधि व्यवस्था विभागको प्राङ्गण, नयाँ बानेश्वरमा शान्तिपूर्ण धर्ना प्रदर्शन गरेका छन्। “हाम्रो जायज माग पुरा गर । औषधी ऐन २०३५ को दफा ११ उपदफा ५ खारेज गर ।” जस्ता प्लेकार्ड, नारा सहित प्रदर्शन गरेका छन्।
