Nepal marked Democracy Day 2082 with a grand state ceremony at the Nepal Army Pavilion, Tundikhel, in Kathmandu on February 19, 2026. The national celebration featured the singing of the national anthem, flag hoisting, and a moment of silence to honour the country’s martyrs. A Nepal Army helicopter flew overhead displaying a “Democracy Day 2082” banner while showering flower petals, as colorful balloons were released into the sky. Security forces including the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Scouts conducted an impressive march-past, followed by cultural performances showcasing national unity and heritage.
