Lockdown at Nepali Congress Party Office

Members of the Congress Reform Campaign (Under-40) broke through the security barricade and reached the main gate of the Nepali Congress headquarters, where they staged a protest and locked the gate. The demonstrators demanded that the party hold a regular general convention and ensure fair representation of youth within the organization.

After being denied entry into the party premises, the protesters chanted slogans outside, calling for the dissolution of the current central committee if it cannot conduct the convention. Their slogans included demands such as, “If a regular convention cannot be held, dissolve the current central committee!” and “Do not ignore the sentiments of Congress members and youth!”

Following the previous incident during the ‘Gen-Z movement’ where the party office was set on fire, security at the Nepali Congress headquarters has been tightened, and entry without inspection has been strictly prohibited. Lalitpur, November 2, 2025.

“नियमित महाधिवेशन गर्न नसके, वर्तमान केन्द्रीय समिति बिघटन गरियोस् ! आम कांग्रेसजन र युवाहरुको भावनालाई नजरअन्दाज नगरियोस् !” लगायतको नारा लगाएका छन् । जेनजी आन्दोलनमा पार्टी कार्यालय जलाइएसंगै कांग्रेस पार्टी कार्यालयमा सुरक्षा तैनाथी बढाउनुका साथै कसैलाई पनि जांचबिना प्रवेश रोकिएको छ ।
