Dan Bahadur Karki Assumes Office as Nepal’s New Inspector General of Police

Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki officially received his insignia from Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Kathmandu. Following the event, Karki is set to take charge at the Nepal Police Headquarters. He succeeds Chandra Kuber Khapung, who retired upon reaching the age limit. IGP Karki will lead the Nepal Police for the next two and a half years. (Kathmandu, November 13, 2025)
नवनियुक्त प्रहरी महानिरीक्षक दानबहादुर कार्कीले गृहसचिव रामेश्वर दंगालबाट दर्ज्यानी चिह्न लगाएका छन्। गृह मन्त्रालयमा आयोजित कार्यक्रममा उनले दर्ज्यानी चिह्न लगाएका हुन्।
कार्कीले आजै प्रहरी प्रधान कार्यालयमा पदभार सम्हाल्नेछन्। चन्द्रकुवेर खापुङले उमेरहदका कारण अवकाश पाएपछि कार्की प्रहरी महानिरीक्षकमा नियुक्त भएका हुन्। उनले साढे दुई वर्ष प्रहरी नेतृत्व सम्हाल्नेछन्।
