Continuous Rainfall Floods Settlements Along Bagmati River in Kathmandu

Continuous rainfall has caused flooding in several areas of Kathmandu, submerging many settlements. Floodwaters entered squatter communities along the banks of the Bagmati River, forcing residents to leave their homes. As the water level rose and the risk increased, the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Army were mobilized to evacuate the affected areas. Kathmandu, October 4, 2025.
