Continuous Rainfall Floods Settlements Along Bagmati River in Kathmandu

Heavy rain has caused flooding in several areas of Kathmandu, submerging many homes. The Kathmandu flood has particularly affected squatter communities along the Bagmati River, forcing residents to leave their houses. As water levels rose, the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Army were called in to help evacuate those affected. Kathmandu, October 4, 2025.
