Chakhewa Danda of Temke Gateway to the Mundhum Trail and a Scenic Himalayan Viewpoint

This tourist destination lies about 203 kilometers from Dharan via Bhojpur and 46 kilometers from Diktel, the headquarters of Khotang district, and it offers a glimpse reminiscent of Sailung. From Chakhewa Bhanjyang, it takes around two hours on foot to reach the summit of Temke Danda. The hill stands at an elevation of 3,100 meters, from where six Himalayan peaks and as many as 36 districts can be seen. December 30, 2025

भोजपुर र खोटाङ जिल्लाको सिमानामा अवस्थित टेम्के क्षेत्रको चखेवा डाँडा अत्यन्तै मनमोहक पर्यटकीय गन्तव्यका रूपमा परिचित छ। टेम्के डाँडाको फेदीमा रहेको चखेवा भञ्ज्याङ (चखेवा डाँडा) बाटै सांस्कृतिक तथा प्राकृतिक महत्त्व बोकेको मुन्धुम ट्रेलको सुरुवात हुन्छ।

धरानबाट भोजपुर हुँदै करिब २०३ किलोमिटर र खोटाङ जिल्लाको सदरमुकाम दिक्तेलबाट ४६ किलोमिटर दूरीमा रहेको यो स्थलले शैलुङ क्षेत्रको झल्को दिन्छ। चखेवा भञ्ज्याङबाट टेम्के डाँडाको शिखरसम्म पुग्न पैदल करिब २ घण्टा लाग्छ। समुद्री सतहदेखि करिब ३१०० मिटर उचाइमा रहेको यस स्थानबाट ६ वटा हिमाल र ३६ वटा जिल्लासमेत अवलोकन गर्न सकिन्छ।
