34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities Marked with Morning Rally in Kathmandu

A morning rally was held in Kathmandu to commemorate the 34th International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme “Commitment to a Disability-Inclusive Society; Promotion of Social Progress.” The event was organized by the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens in collaboration with the National Federation of the Disabled–Nepal (NFDN). Representatives from various organizations, disability-rights groups, stakeholders, and community members participated with enthusiasm, along with the presence of Minister of Information and Communications, Jagadish Kharel. “अपाङ्गता समावेशी समाजको प्रतिवद्धता; सामाजिक उन्नतिको संवर्द्धन” को नारा सहित अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुको ३४ औं अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय दिवसको प्रभातफेरी गरिएको छ। नेपाल सरकार महिला, बालबालिका तथा ज्येष्ठ नागरिक मन्त्रालयको आयोजनामा तथा राष्ट्रिय अपाङ्ग महासंघ नेपाल (NFDN) को समन्वयमा आयोजित प्रभातफेरीमा विभिन्न संघ–संस्था, अपाङ्गता क्षेत्रका प्रतिनिधि, सरोकारवाला निकाय तथा समुदायको उत्साहजनक सहभागिता रहेको छ। उक्त र्यालीमा सूचना तथा सञ्चार मन्त्री जगदीश खरेलको सहभागिता रहेको छ।
