Yomari is a Nepali cuisine consumed by the Newar community in Nepal. Yomari (‘yo’ means favorite and ‘mari’ means bread or dessert). Yomari has fillings of chaku (molasses) or Khuwa (milk product).
Yomari is specially eaten at the festival called Yomari Punhi. Yomari Punhi is a major festival observed by the Newari Community of Nepal, which falls in November/December. People offer Yomari to God and later distribute it among neighbors.
