Nyatapola Temple, also known as the Five-Storeyed Temple in Taumadhi Square, Bhaktapur, is the tallest temple in Bhaktapur and an iconic five-tiered pagoda, standing as one of Nepal’s most magnificent monuments. Built in 1702 by the prolific King Bhupatindra Malla, it exemplifies the elegance and resilience of Newar architecture. Dedicated to the goddess Siddhi Lakshmi, the temple is guarded by stone statues representing increasing strength at each level.
