On September 8–9, 2025, protests erupted in Kathmandu, where the Kathmandu Hilton Hotel was set on fire and the Gen Z Movement gained momentum in Nepal. Demonstrators, rallying against corruption and the social media ban, torched the parliament building along with several government offices. The unrest led to the resignation of Prime Minister K.P. २०७५ सालको असोज २२–२३ गते काठमाडौंमा विरोध प्रदर्शन सुरु भएको थियो, जहाँ काठमाडौंको हिल्टन होटलमा आगो लगाइयो र नेपालमा जेन–जी आन्दोलनले गति पायो। भ्रष्टाचार र सामाजिक सञ्जाल बन्दको विरोधमा प्रदर्शनकारीहरूले संसद भवनसहित विभिन्न सरकारी कार्यालयमा आगो लगाएका थिए। असन्तुष्टिका कारण प्रधानमन्त्री के.पी. शर्मा ओलीले राजीनामा दिनु पर्‍यो भने राजधानीमा शान्ति कायम गर्न सेना परिचालित गरियो। (काठमाडौं, २०७५ असोज २४ गते)
