Tamu Lhosar is the new year for the Gurung community- an indigenous group of Nepal. Every year, Tamu Losar is celebrated in the month of December/January. Gurung males wear Bhangra and a Kachhad, while Gurung women wear Lungi and Ghalek (blouses) & ornaments and perform their cultural dancing on this day.
