Rani Pokhari, located in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal, is a historic artificial pond built in 1670 by King Pratap Malla. It was constructed in memory of his queen and symbolizes love and compassion. The pond features a temple dedicated to Shiva in the middle, accessible via a stone causeway. It underwent restoration after the 2015 earthquake and reopened in 2020.
