Phulpati, Dashain Festival

Nepalese priests brought Phulpati during Phulpati, Dashain festival at Hanumandhoka, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Phulpati(Fulpati) is the 7″ day of Dashain. On this day, Goddess Kaalratri, the dark and fierce form of Goddess Durga, is worshiped.
On this day, a special Kalash (pot) is prepared with the Jamara and nine plants of Fulpati (Navapatrika): Banana Plant, Pomegranate, Rice stalk, Turmeric, Manabriksha, Ginger Plant, Wood Apple, Ashok Plant, and Jayanti are brought from Gorkha to Hanumandhoka Place of Kathmandu. People hence observe this day as the day to bring Fulpati to their home.
