Official Announcement of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party

The Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party has been officially announced. During a unity declaration assembly organized at the National Assembly Hall, the five-member “Chairperson Council,” along with other officials, hoisted the party flag to mark the announcement.

The Chairperson Council announced on Sunday also includes youth leader Ojaswi Bhattarai. The council consists of Durga Sob, Santosh Pariyar, Sudan Kirati, Ojaswi Bhattarai, and one representative from the Madhesh region.

The party stated that the “Chairperson Council” will be formed to ensure representation from all clusters, including Dalits, women, indigenous nationalities, Madhesis, and marginalized groups.

The unity declaration assembly is being held with the participation of Jasapa (Naya Shakti), founded by Dr. Baburam Bhattarai and currently led by Durga Sob; the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party, initiated by Janardan Sharma and now led by Sudan Kirati; and the group led by Santosh Pariyar, a former Rastriya Swatantra Party leader and dissolved House of Representatives member. प्रगतिशील लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टीको औपचारिक रूपमा घोषणा गरिएको छ । राष्ट्रिय सभा गृहमा आयोजना भइरहेको एकता घोषणा सभामा पाँच सदस्यीय ‘अध्यक्ष परिषद्’ का साथै अन्य पदाधिकारीले झण्डा फहराएर घोषणा गरेका हुन् ।

आइतवार घोषणा भएको अध्यक्ष परिषद्मा जेनजी अगुवा ओजस्वी भट्टराई पनि छिन् । अध्यक्ष परिषद्मा दुर्गा सोब, सन्तोष परियार, सुदन किराँती, जेनजी अगुवा ओजस्वी भट्टराई र एक सदस्य मधेशबाट रहनेछन् ।

अध्यक्ष परिषद्’मा दलित, महिला, आदिवासी जनजाति, मधेशी, पिछडिएको क्षेत्र लगायत सबै क्लष्टरबाट प्रतिनिधित्व हुने गरी गठन गरिने पार्टीले जनाएको छ ।

अहिले डा. बाबुराम भट्टराईले स्थापना गरेको र हाल दुर्गा सोबले नेतृत्व गरेको जसपा (नयाँ शक्ति), जनार्दन शर्माको पहलमा स्थापना गरिएको र हाल सुदन किराँतीले नेतृत्व गरेको प्रगतिशील लोकतान्त्रिक पार्टी र रास्वपा परित्याग गरेका विघटित प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्य सन्तोष परियार नेतृत्वको टोली लगायतसँग एकता घोषणा सभा भइरहेको छ ।
