Nepal Army Holds Special Phulpati Ceremony at Tundikhel

The Nepal Army organized a special Phulpati Ceremony parade at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, with President Ram Chandra Poudel, the supreme commander of the army, as the chief guest. The ceremony featured a military parade, Durga dance, a banner displayed from an army helicopter, and showering of flower petals, reflecting the cultural and religious importance of Phulpati. Jamara and Phulpati brought from Gorkha were celebrated at Hanumandhoka Dashain Ghar and traditionally carried to Tundikhel. The event was attended by top officials, including the Vice-President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker, National Assembly Chair, ministers, and other distinguished guests. This annual ceremony is an important part of the Bada Dashain festival. Kathmandu, 29 September 2025.
