Naumann’s Thrush Recorded for the First Time in Kathmandu Valley at Manohara River Wetlands

Naumann’s Thrush Bird (गेरुमुहार चाँचर in Nepali) was spotted and photographed for the first time within the Kathmandu Valley by wildlife photographer Krishna Kaji Prajapati. The sighting took place in the wetland area of the Manohara River in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, Kathmandu. This observation marks the second official record of the species in Nepal. The first confirmed record was made by ornithologist Shankar Tiwari on Kartik 25, 2081, from Mustang District under the Annapurna Conservation Area.
