Helambu is a village in Nepal, about 80 km from Kathmandu. People also take Helambu short trek- A popular trek in the Langtang region. Helambu is home to marvelous Buddhist monasteries and sweet apples and is rich in exotic flora and fauna. You can enjoy the Helambu Trek all year long, but February to May is ideal. Also, you can start trekking either in Melamchi Bazar or by Sundarijal from Kathmandu.
