Greater Painted-snipe in flight चित्राङ्गद

The Greater Painted-snipe (Rostratula benghalensis) चित्राङ्गद is a medium-sized, wading bird with striking sexual dimorphism. Females are more colorful, with chestnut and green plumage, while males are duller and smaller. Found in wetlands, they are known for their secretive behavior, feeding on invertebrates and small aquatic creatures. The species exhibits polyandry.
