Great One-honred Rhinoceros close-up potrait

The Great One-horned Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis), also called the Indian Rhinoceros, is a large herbivorous mammal native to the grasslands and wetlands of northern India and Nepal. Known for its thick, armor-like skin and a single horn, it can weigh up to 2,200 kg. These rhinos are primarily solitary, grazing on grasses, fruits, and aquatic plants. Conservation efforts have boosted their population from near extinction to around 4,000, although they remain vulnerable to poaching and habitat loss.
