Gaura Festival Celebrated at Tundikhel, Kathmandu

The Gaura Festival, one of the most significant celebrations of Nepal’s Sudurpaschim region, was observed at Tundikhel in Kathmandu. People from the Karnali and Sudurpaschim regions residing in the Valley gathered to mark the occasion. The idol of Goddess Gaura was brought from Koteshwor to Tundikhel, where devotees offered prayers and performed traditional dances, songs, and rituals. The event also included cultural processions and performances, highlighting the vibrant heritage and traditions of the far-western community. Kathmandu 31 August 2025
