Eurasaian Wigeon, सिन्दुरे हाँस

The Eurasian Wigeon (Mareca penelope) is a medium-sized dabbling duck found across Europe and Asia, migrating to Africa and southern Asia in winter. Males have a rusty-red head, creamy forehead, and gray body, while females are mottled brown. They feed on aquatic plants, grasses, and small invertebrates. Often seen in flocks, they frequent wetlands, lakes, and coastal areas. Their distinctive whistling call is a key identifier. Conservation status: Least Concern but affected by habitat loss.
