Devotees Mark Shree Panchami with Saraswati Worship and Akshararambha at Swayambhu

Hindu devotees across Kathmandu, particularly at the Swayambhu Saraswati Temple, observed Shree Panchami by offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati, revered as the deity of knowledge and wisdom. On this auspicious day, families traditionally perform Akshararambha, initiating young children into learning by introducing them to letters. From early morning, a large number of worshippers gathered at the temple, seeking blessings for education and intellect. (Kathmandu, January 23, 2026)
आज श्रीपञ्चमी, हिन्दु धर्मावलम्बीहरूले यस दिन विद्याकी देवी सरस्वतीको पूजा–आराधना गरी मनाइरहेका छन् । सरस्वतीलाई विद्या र बुद्धिकी ज्ञाता मानिन्छ जसको कारण आजको दिन विद्यालय नपठाएका साना बालबालिकाहरूलाई अक्षरारम्भ गराउने चलन छ । सोही विश्वासका साथ आज बिहानै देखि स्वयम्भू सरस्वती मन्दिरहरुमा श्रद्धालुहरूको घुइँचो लागेको छ ।
