Bulaki

Bulaki is one of the traditional ornaments in Nepal. It is mainly made of gold and worn by women. It is hung on the pierced septum and lies on the upper lip. Bulaki is worn by women from Limbu, Magar and Thami communities once they get married. You can find variety in Bulaki in terms of size, shape and design, as making a Bulaki depends on caste and finances. Without Bulaki, the cultural look for the women from the above-mentioned communities is incomplete.
