Bhuwa Parva marks the victory of the Pandavas over the Kauravas in the historic battle at Kurukshetra during the Vedic age. Celebrated on the day before Pusher Aaunshi, the festival occurs on the new moon day in the Nepali month of Poush, as per the lunar calendar. Bhuwa Festival is prominent in the hilly and mountainous districts of Sudurpaschim Province, including Bajura, Bajhang, and Achham. Notably, Sudur Paschim Province observes a public holiday during this festival.
