Contest Rules and Regulations

  1. Theme Compliance: All submissions must align with the theme of the Dashain festival. Photos should capture the essence of the celebration, including family gatherings, traditional rituals, and festive activities. Judges will evaluate submissions based on how well they reflect the joyous spirit of Dashain.
  2. Original Work: Participants must submit only their original photographs. All entries should be created by the participant, and any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification. If a photo features othe individuals, it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure they have consent to use those images.
  3. No AI Generation: AI-generated images are strictly prohibited. All submitted photographs must be taken and edited by the participant without the use of artificial intelligence or automated tools.
  4. Resolution Requirements: Photos must be high-resolution, with a minimum of 300 DPI. This ensures that the images are clear and suitable for printing or publication. Low-quality images may be disqualified at the discretion of the judges.
  5. Submission Format: Images should be submitted in JPEG or PNG format. Each submission should be properly labeled with the participant’s name and a title for the photograph.
  6. Editing Guidelines: Participants are allowed to make basic edits for brightness, contrast, and color balance. However, excessive alterations that significantly change the original photograph are not permitted. Overly edited images may be disqualified.
  7. Caption Inclusion: Each photo submission must include a brief caption (50-100 words) that describes the moment captured, its significance, and how it relates to the Dashain festival. Captions should provide context and enhance the viewer’s understanding of the image.
  8. Entry Limit: Participants may submit a maximum of three photographs. Each submission must adhere to the guidelines outlined above, and all entries should be submitted separately.
  9. Deadline Adherence: All entries must be submitted by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances. Participants are encouraged to submit their entries well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
  10. Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, composition, adherence to the theme, and technical quality. A panel of experienced judges will evaluate all submissions and select the winners based on these criteria.
  11. Prize Distribution: Winners will be notified via email or direct messaging within a specified timeframe after the contest ends. Prizes must be claimed within a designated period; otherwise, they will be forfeited.
  12. Rights and Usage: By entering the contest, participants grant the organizers the right to use the submitted photographs for promotional purposes, including social media, websites, and exhibitions. Credit will be given to the photographers whenever their work is displayed.
  13. Disqualification Clause: The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with the rules and regulations or is deemed inappropriate or offensive.
  14. Acceptance of Rules: Participation in the contest signifies acceptance of all rules and regulations. Participants are encouraged to read and understand the guidelines thoroughly before submitting their entries.
