Tihar Festival Spirit Lights Up Kathmandu’s Traditional Markets

As Nepal’s second-largest festival, Tihar Festival, draws near, the vibrant streets of Kathmandu’s traditional marketplaces—Asan, Indra Chowk, and New Road—are bustling with festive energy. Shoppers are crowding stalls to buy Bhai Masala, flower garlands, colors, decorative lights, and images of Goddess Laxmi. तिहार नजिकिँदै राजधानीका बजारमा चहलपहल बढ्यो
नेपालीहरूको दोस्रो ठूलो चाड तिहार नजिकिँदै गर्दा राजधानीका पुराना बजारहरू असन, इन्द्रचोक र न्युरोड तिहारको रौनकले भरिन थालेका छन्। बजारमा भाइमसला, फूलमाला, रङ, लक्ष्मीको फोटोदेखि पाला जस्ता सामग्री किन्न आउने खरिदकर्ताको भीड बढ्दै गएको छ।
पर्व नजिकिँदै गर्दा बजारमा विभिन्न रंगका दिवा, बिजुली बत्ती, माला र सिङ्गारका सामग्री सजाइएका छन्। व्यापारीहरूका अनुसार यस वर्ष पनि तिहारका सामानको बिक्री बढ्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।
