Flood Damage on BP Highway in Chaukidanda After Heavy Rain

Continuous rainfall on October 4 and 5 (Ashoj 18 and 19) led to flooding of the Roshi River, causing significant damage to a section of the BP Highway at Chaukidanda in segment 1. Repair work is underway at full pace. Despite the hazards, locals are risking their safety by walking along the roadside cliffs to reach Kathmandu and other destinations. October 9, 2025.
