Millets Farm, Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek

Millets Farm, Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek
The Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek, located in the secluded Rolwaling region, is one of Nepal’s lesser-known trekking routes, leading to the country’s largest glacial lake, Tsho Rolpa. Despite being close to the popular Everest region, this trek remains quiet and unspoiled. It offers stunning views of Gaurishankar Himal (7,134m) and showcases the natural beauty of the area, though it presents some challenges. Starting from Dolakha, near Charikot, the trail winds along the Tama Koshi and Rolwaling rivers, passing through charming villages in the Rolwaling Valley. The lake, surrounded by hills and mountains, offers a peaceful and surreal setting. Along the way, trekkers can experience the culture and lifestyle of the Brahmin, Chhetri, and Sherpa communities, with a strong Buddhist influence due to its proximity to Tibet. The route is filled with waterfalls, rivers, Mani walls, rice fields, and meadows, making it a truly memorable trek.
