Chandeshwori jatra (chasu punhi ) is uniqu in the takes place on both the day before baisakh shukla purnima and the day of purnima at chasukhel bhaktapur. The Goddness Chandeswori’s Palanquins (khat) processions roams at Bhaktapur’s Durbar square, tachapal lalachhen and many other streets. After circling the streets the chariot returns to the temple. As a result this jatra binds all persons in Bhaktapur, whether resident’s or non- residents. As a result this jatra is an auspicious and equally significant festival.
