Eurasian Whimbrel also known as Common Whimbrel

The Eurasian whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus ) is a wader in the large family Scolopacidae. The Eurasian Whimbrel is a monsoon visitor to Kathmandu, arriving seasonally to forage and rest in the riverbanks.
